TinyKomainu

TinyKomainu

Small tools that guard your indie tech stack.

Two products available today: Watch keeps an eye on the APIs your stack depends on, Hooks translates incoming webhooks into messages your team can read. Each one does one thing well. No bloat, no enterprise pricing, no noise.

The problem

Your SaaS breaks silently.

Stripe has an outage. OpenAI is down. Your users see errors. You find out from Twitter, 20 minutes later.

Status pages are scattered.

You'd have to check 7 separate status pages every time something feels off. Nobody does that.

Enterprise tools are priced for enterprises.

StatusGator starts at $40/month. You're a solo founder. That's not a line item you want.

Available now

Watch — Start here.

Know when an API your SaaS depends on breaks. Get notified in the channel you actually check. We built Watch first because it's the most common pain point.

30+ APIs in the catalog

OpenAI, Stripe, GitHub, Vercel, Supabase — the APIs indie SaaS actually uses. New ones added every week.

Checked every 5 minutes

We poll each API's official status source. No crowdsourcing, no noise. Just the signal.

The channel you actually check

Email on Free. Slack, Discord, and webhooks on Pro. Notifications land where you look.

Boring pricing

$9/month. No annual lock-in. Cancel in two clicks. Free tier with 5 APIs and email.

Hooks — Webhooks, translated.

Stripe, Shopify, and GitHub send raw JSON. Hooks turns it into a readable message in the channel your team actually checks. Same Free / $9 / $29 structure as Watch.

Three sources at launch

Stripe, Shopify, and GitHub. Paste the unique URL into the source’s webhook settings — Hooks handles signatures, retries, and idempotency.

Filter and template, no code

Pick the events that matter. Format them how you want. A JSON editor is there if you outgrow the no-code form.

Replay any event

Every payload is stored. If Slack was down or your filter was wrong, replay the event and try again. No begging Stripe to resend.

Same channels as Watch

Email, Slack, Discord, Webhook. Built on the same notification rails — same reliability, zero extra setup.

Questions

What exactly is TinyKomainu?
An umbrella brand for small, focused SaaS tools aimed at indie hackers and solo founders. Watch and Hooks are available today. Three more are in the pipeline. Each one does one thing well.
What’s Hooks?
The second product in the suite. Stripe, Shopify, and GitHub send webhooks as raw JSON; Hooks turns them into readable messages in your Slack, Discord, or Email. Same $0 / $9 / $29 structure as Watch. See hooks.tinykomainu.com for details.
Can I use Watch and Hooks together?
Yes — one account, one bill, one place to manage both. They share login, Stripe customer, and notification channels. Subscriptions are tracked per product, so you can be on Pro for one and Free for the other.
How is Watch different from StatusGator or Better Uptime?
Watch is $9/month vs $40+. It's built specifically for indie hackers who depend on 5–20 third-party APIs, not an enterprise IT team monitoring hundreds of internal services.
Is there a free plan?
Yes for both. Watch Free: 5 APIs, email, 7 days history. Hooks Free: 1 endpoint, 100 events/month, email, 7 days history. No credit card required.
How quickly do I get notified of an outage?
Within 5 minutes. Watch polls each API's official status page every 5 minutes and sends notifications immediately on state change.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Two clicks from the billing page. No lock-in, no cancellation fee, no dark patterns. Works the same for Watch and Hooks.
